Welcome! This site is a travel blog about a journey made by four Bristol University under graduates in 1985. They travelled to Ladakh, India. Ladakh is a remote, baron, mountainous desert  that sits under a rain shadow from the rest of the Himalayas. The trip in all was 7 weeks including a 3 week mountain trek to heights over 16000 feet.​This blog is a typed version of the diary made by Jonathan, one of the travellers, together with his photographs.
